Funeral services - Memorial service - Service of remembrance
Interment of Ashes or Scattering of Ashes
Saying goodbye to your loved one is never easy, so it’s important that you can celebrate their life in the right way. As an independent civil celebrant I can create with you a very personal service that reflects your loved one, their life and beliefs, while also giving you the chance to say goodbye in that way that you want to. So whether this is a Cremation, Burial, Memorial Service, or an Interment or Scattering of Ashes, we can make sure you loved one gets the send off that they deserve, celebrating the life they lived.
Because our service is tailored to your loved one and their beliefs, you decide what you would like to include, so you can include a religious element such as a hymn, or time to say a prayer for a family member who maybe is religious, but keep the main focus of the service your loved one. You can also have a fully non religious service it is your choice and something I would discuss with you. While you may decide the perfect ceremony for your loved one is simple with no fuss, where you can just send them off with your love, remembering a few of you own memories and this is perfectly acceptable as well.
You may wish to include something that has a special meaning, which could be a favourite sweet or flower, or even something your loved one made themselves like a painting. While you can also include something for people to remember your loved one, for example giving out seed card’s, that can grow each year, a special pin for a charity that they supported, pack of chocolate buttons or even a bowl of quality street on the way out if that is what they loved.
You may want to have a moment to give all the family a chance to say goodbye and there are many ways we can do this, for example a candle lighting ceremony, placing your own special message, or releasing a balloon, and even if a family member cannot be with us you can include them in the service. If you have your own idea of how you can really celebrate your loved one's life we can make it happen, whether it's a special piece of music, a friend leading the hearse in the original only fools and horses three wheeler or wine gums at the graveside.
Your loved ones service will be completely focused around them and the life they lived, celebrating who they were and what they mean to you, and it can be as peaceful or celebratory as you want it to be.
I will be there to help through this difficult period and can offer suggestions and ideas, and or help with the tribute, but this is your service and we will meet so you can tell me about your loved one and discuss what would be right for them, and just make sure that we celebrate their life in the way they would have wanted so it is, 'Your Ceremony, Your Way’.
My fee for a funeral service (Including a burial, cremation, or memorial service) is £165.00, and if you would like a small ceremony for an interment or scatter of ashes at a later date after a cremation service I am happy to do this free of charge.
For just an interment or scatter of ashes, my fee is £55.00
To make sure that we celebrate your loved one's life in the right way:
We will meet to discuss exactly what type of service is right for your loved one, and what you would like to include in their service.
I write your service myself, for your loved one so it reflects them, and can also help with the tribute or eulogy, so we have a service that is perfect for your loved one.
I will print a special copy of your loved ones service for you to keep in memory of them.
I can help with poems, reading's, prayers and Ideas that you may want to include.
I will there on the day to perform your service myself, but I will also be there throughout to offer advice, support and help, making sure that this is the perfect celebration for your loved ones life.

if you have lost a child, under the age of 16 I provide your service free of charge, and we will still meet and make sure that we show how much they are loved, and how precious they will always be. We can include special moments such as butterfly ceremony (this is different to a butterfly release) or a candle lighting ceremony, and I am also happy to include poem cards if
you have a special poem you wish to keep with your baby or childs name and date of birth. We can include music and a chance for you to remember they have changed your lives forever. Because no matter how long they have been with you they will always be a special part of your lives, and even the smallest of feet have the power to leave everlasting footprints upon this our world.
