Poem's, Readings and Blessings for

Our First Glimpse

My precious little baby, I have loved you from the start, You are a tiny miracle, Laying closely to my heart.

Each day I feel your presence, each day you quickly grow, Each day your heart beats softly, as only I could know. So I’ll keep this in a special place, and remember each year through, of my very special time of life, the months I carried you. And now you have arrived, a miracle in my hands, and I cannot wait to see you grow my special little man.

An American Indian Legend for a Butterfly Release

If anyone desires a wish to come true they must first capture a butterfly and whisper that wish to it.

As a butterfly can make no sound, the butterfly can not reveal the wish to anyone but the great spirit Who hears and sees all. In gratitude for giving the beautiful butterfly its freedom, the wish will be taken to the heavens to be granted. “Today we have gathered to grant this baby all our best wishes and are about to set these butterflies free in trust that our promises and wishes will be granted”.

Your Angel's

A baby asked God, “They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?”. God said, “Your Angel's will be waiting for you and will take care of you”. The baby asked, “who will protect me?” God said, “Your Angel's will defend you even if it means risking their lives”. The baby said, “please tell me my angel's name”. God said, “you will simply call them mummy and daddy”.

I want you to be happy

I want you to be happy. I want you to fill your heart with feelings of wonder and to be full of courage and hope.

I want you to have the type of friendship that is a treasure - and the kind of love that is beautiful forever. I wish you contentment: the sweet, quiet, inner kind that comes around and never goes away.

I want you to have hopes and have them all come true. I want you to have a real understanding of how unique and rare you truly are. I want to remind you that the sun may disappear for a while, but it never forgets to shine. May the words you listen to, say the things you need to hear. And may a cheerful face lovingly look back at you when you happen to glance in your mirror.

I wish you the insight to see your inner and outer beauty. I wish you sweet dreams. I want you to have times when you feel like singing and dancing and laughing out loud. I want you to be able to make your good times better and your hard times easier to handle. I wish I could find a way to tell you - in untold ways - how important you are to me.

Of all the things I’ll be wishing for, wherever you are and whatever I may do, there will never be a day in my life when I won’t be wishing for the best… for you.

The Example of Parenthood

There are little eyes upon you and they’re watching night and day;

There are little ears that quickly take in everything you say;

There are little hands all eager to do everything you do,

And a little girl who’s dreaming of the day she’ll be like you.

You’re little ….............'s  idol you’re the wisest of the wise;

In her little mind about you no suspicions ever rise.

There’s a wide-eyed little girl who believes you’re always right,

And her ears are always open as she watches day and night.

You are setting an example every day in all you do.

For the little girl who’s waiting to grow up to be like you.

On Being A Grandparent.

It’s very special to be …..............'s Grandma/ nanny/ nanna/ nan

It's something that I will never take for granted.

I will always greet …............ with love in my heart.

I will pick her up when she falls and soothe away any tears.

I will endeavour to answer the “why?” questions as she tries to make sense of her world.

I will rejoice in her achievements - and probably tell them to anyone prepared to listen to my pride.

I will do my utmost to ensure that no harm befalls …......., that she always knows that she is loved and that she knows she can turn to me at any time for advice or consolation.

From the moment she became a part of my life I loved her, and this is a love that will never end.

Daddy’s Knee

The first time I met you, that was the start

You changed my life, and you filled my heart

So quiet, so beautiful, so delicate, so small

As  you lay in my arms I felt ten feet tall.

Look at me ‘A Daddy’! I’d never been so proud

I could have opened the window and shouted it out loud.

So smart, so lively, so funny, so sweet,

as you lay in your cot, sucking your feet.

The days turned to weeks, as I watched you grow

and I began to wonder where did time go

A year on, you’ve a lot left to learn

with big new adventures around every turn.

But wherever you may go and whatever you may see

There will always be a special bond between you and me.

Night night, Mummy - see you later

At seven o’clock every evening my Mum tucks me up in my bed. I’m nice and snug in my ‘jamas, beside me my faithful old Ted.

I always nod off very quickly – before Mum has turned out the light, But when it’s her bedtime much later, well then I wake up for the night.

For there’s no time of day I like better than the hours between midnight and three, For Mum hasn’t got any housework and can give her attention to me.

And when I start yelling and shouting, Mum knows that she has to be quick, For the night when she leaves me to grizzle is the night I decide to be sick.

But Mum can’t mind in the slightest at being my playmate ‘til two She’d normally spend this time sleeping, for she’s nothing much better to do.

Some nights she mixes a cocktail from the bottles she keeps on the shelf, Which sometimes she gives me to swallow –and sometimes she gulps down herself!

And if in the morning I’m sleepy, and feel in the need of a perk, I can have forty winks in my pushchair while Mummy gets on with her work.

But nothing’s as nice as the night time, and nothing can equal the pleasure, Of finding it’s four in the morning and being Mum’s wide-awake treasure.

What is love?

It's the feeling I get when I look on fuchsia coloured clouds and feel their joy fill me.

I gaze on daffodils and bathe in their golden splendour.

I watch the dancing butterfly and feel her freedom.

I dance, I dance, I dance upon the happiness of life.

So as unicorns join me in their frolic, as rainbows light our path together

I know that the feelings I share with my true love, shall endure throughout our lives

Wedding Vows

I promise to love

and will gladly honour you

but obey? no way!

By Tracy Davidson

Roll on the Wedding

The band has been booked, the cake has been made,

the photographer's chosen, all bills have been paid.

The guests are decided, the menu too;

Something borrowed? Check! Ditto old and blue.

The stationery's been ordered, along with the flowers,

favours are done after fiddling for hours.

The stag do's a blur, same goes for the Hen -

won't be drinking that much in one sitting again!

The dress has been picked, accessories bought;

there's nothing to schedule, no more to sort.

After endless to-do lists for over a year,

it's time to relax; the big day is here!

Sitting here with my girls as our hair gets done,

I can't help feeling lucky to have found 'the One' -

Just think, by lunchtime I'll be his new wife!

Roll on the wedding, and our new married life!

By Catherine Smith

Ecclesiastes 4

Two are better than one;

Because they have a good reward for their labour.

For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow:

But woe to him that is alone when he falleth;

For he hath not another to help him up.

Again, if two lie together, then they have heat:

But how can one be warm alone?

And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him;

And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

These I Can Promise

I cannot promise you a life of sunshine;

I cannot promise riches, wealth, or gold;

I cannot promise you an easy pathway

That leads away from change or growing old.

But I can promise all my heart's devotion;

A smile to chase away your tears of sorrow;

A love that's ever true and ever growing;

A hand to hold in yours through each tomorrow.

by Mark Twain

The One

When the one whose hand you're holding

Is the one one who holds your heart

When the one whose eyes you gaze into

Gives your hopes and dreams their start,

When the one you think of first and last

Is the one who holds you tight,

And the things you plan together

Make the whole world seem just right,

When the one whom you believe in

puts their faith and trust in you,

You've found the one and only love

You'll share your whole life through.

This day I married my best friend

This day I married my best friend

the one I laugh with as we share life's wonderous zest,

as we find new enjoyments and experience all that's best.

the one I live for because the world seems brighter

as our happy times are better and our burdens feel much lighter.

the one I love with every fiber of my soul.

We used to feel vaguely incomplete, now together we are whole.

The minute I heard my first love story

I started looking for you,

Not knowing how blind that was.

Lovers don't finally meet somewhere.

They're in each other all along.

I Carry your Heart – E.E Cummings

I carry your heart with me (i carry it in

my heart) i am never without it (anywhere

i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done

by only me is your doing, my darling)

i fear

no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want

no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)

and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant

and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows

(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud

and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows

higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)

and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

I carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

I belong in your arms - by Deborah Bridea

I belong in your arms

Finally, I have found a place

Into which I fit Perfectly, Safely

And securely with no doubts,

No fears, No sadness, No tears.

This place is filled with happiness and laughter

Yet it is spacious enough, to allow me

The freedom to move around,

To live my life and be myself.

This wonderful place, which I never believed really existed,

I have found Finally

Inside your arms, Inside your heart, inside your love.

Let us remember the happy times

Let us remember all the happy times and dry the falling tears,

for all of us must celebrate our memories over the years.

We all knew her wonderful ways, the love she always shared.

The kindness in her heart and how much she really cared.

Close your eyes and fill your hearts with the happy times you had.

Think of something to make you smile, to help when feeling sad.

The life that I have

The life that I have is all that I have, and the life that I have is yours.

The love that I have of the life that I have, is yours, and yours, and yours.

A sleep I shall have, a rest I shall have, yet death will be but a pause.

For the peace of my years in the long green grass will be yours and yours and yours.

Perhaps they are not stars in the sky,

but rather openings in heaven

where the love of our lost ones

pours through and shines down upon

us to let us know they are happy.

Sweet dreams - goodnight

Peacefully sleep comes to a dear beloved heart,

quietly we understand the time has come to part,

Tenderly the love shines on, a never ending light.

Gratefully we feel it's warmth and say, 'sweet dreams – goodnight'.

Never far away

Even though she's resting now she's just beyond your view,

In peace she sleeps contented that her love will help you through.

So look for her in rainbows and in every sunny day,

And then she can remind you that she's never far away.

An Irish Blessing

May the road rise to meet you,May the wind

be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face,

May the rains fall softly upon your fields

Until we meet again.

Farewell to Thee! But not farewell To all my fondest thoughts of Thee;

Within my heart they still shall dwell and they shall cheer and comfort me.

Life seems more sweet that Thou didst live and men more true Thou wert one;

Nothing is lost that Thou didst give, nothing destroyed that Thou hast done.

(Anne Bronte 1820-1849)

Indian Prayer

When I am dead cry for me a little,

Think of me sometimes but not too much.

Think of me now and again as I was in life

At some moments it's pleasant to recall but not for long.

Leave me in peace, and I shall leave you in peace

And while you live let your thoughts be with the living.

I am always with you

When I am gone, release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do,

You mustn't tie yourself to me with too many tears, but be thankful we had so many good years.

I gave you my love, and you can only guess how much you've given me in happiness.

I thank you for the love that you have shown, but now it is time I travelled on alone.

So grieve for me a while, if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted by trust

That it is only for a while that we must part, so treasure the memories within your heart.

I won't be far away for life goes on, and if you need me, call and I will come.

And then, when you come this way alone though you can't see or touch me, I will be near

And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear all my love around you soft and clear

I'll greet you with a smile and a "Welcome Home".

His Journey's Just Begun

Don't think of him as gone away his journey's just begun,

life holds so many facets this earth is only one.

Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears

in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years.

Think how he must be wishing that we could know today

how nothing but our sadness can really pass away.

And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched...

for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much.

(E. Brenneman)

Some are bound to die young. By dying young a person stays young in peoples memory.

If he burns brightly before he dies, his brightness shines for all time.

Yesterday is a memory, tomorrow is a mystery and today is a gift, which is why it is called the present. 'What the caterpillar perceives is the end, to the butterfly is just the beginning'.Everything that has a beginning has an ending. Make your peace with that and all will be well. (Buddhist Saying)

'Say not in grief 'he is no more' but live in thankfulness that he was' (Hebrew proverb)

People are like stained glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in; their true beauty is revealed only if their light is from within. (Elizabeth Kulber Ross)

When tomorrow starts without me and I’m not there to see,

If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me

I wish so much you wouldn’t cry the way you did today

While thinking of many things we didn’t get to say.

I know how much you love me as much as I love you

And each time that you think of me I know you’ll miss me too

But when tomorrow starts without me please try to understand

That an angel came and called my name and took me by the hand

And said my place was ready In heaven far above

And that I’d have to leave behind all those I dearly love

But when I walked through heavens gates I felt so much at home

When god looked down and smiled at me from his great throne

He said this is eternity and all I’ve promised you

Today for life on earth is past but here it starts anew

I promise no tomorrow  for today will always last

And since each day’s the same way  there’s no longing for the past

So when tomorrow starts without me don’t think we’re far apart

For every time you think of me I’m right here in your heart

A Fallen limb

A limb has fallen from the family tree, I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me.

Remember the best times, the laughter, the song, The good life I lived while I was strong.

Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you, Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.

My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest, Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.

Continue traditions, no matter how small, Go on with your life, don't worry about falls

I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin, Until the day comes we're together again.

Everyday in some small way we miss you more than words can say.

In our hearts you will always stay loved and remembered every day.

When I'm Gone

When I come to the end of my journey and I travel my last weary mile, just forget if you can, that I ever frowned and remember only the smile. Forget that I ever had heartache and remember I've had loads of fun. Forget that I've stumbled and blundered and sometimes fell by the way. Remember I have fought some hard battles and won, at the close of the day. Then forget to grieve for my going, I would not have you sad for a day, but in summer just gather some flowers and remember the place where I lay, and come in the shade of evening when the sun paints the sky in the west. Stand for a few moments beside me and remember only my best.

The dash

I read of a man who stood to speak at the funeral of a friend.

He referred to the dates on her tombstone, from the beginning…to the end.

He noted that first came the date of her birth and spoke of the following date with tears,

but he said what mattered most of all was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time that she spent alive on earth.

But all those who loved her know what that little line is worth.

Angel Feather

An Angel passed my way today, And left a feather just to say,

I’ll help you, watch you, be your guide, I’m always with you by your side,

And all the times when you feel low, I’ll be your strength and help you grow,

And as you take these things from me, Your eyes will open and you’ll see,

A whole new world begin to form, A whole new world a brand new dawn,

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,

I'd walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again.

No farewell words were spoken no time to say goodbye

you were gone before I knew it, and only god knows why.

My heart still aches in sadness and secret tears still flow,

what it meant to lose you, no one will ever know.

Poem - A daughters promise:

Every time that we smile, every time that we sigh,

We think of your face, and a tear escapes our eyes.

You were our world, our inspiration and our heart,

But when you left us, we thought we would fall apart.

You were our best friend, our one true 'confidant',

And that's not all you were, you were also our mum.

We didn't want to live without you, but you would have wanted us to,

And if there is anyone we want to make happy, that anyone is you.

We would have given anything to have you back, but we know now that it was meant to be,

For you are still watching from up there, and we know that you're watching us.

We'll make you proud mum, we're going to fulfil your wish.

You're going to see us and smile, That's a daughter's promise.

When I wander into your thoughts, or you feel my presence nearby

then smile, for not reason  …. no motive....... just like that.

Today give me the last smile, once more, for goodbye.

Let me go away happy like I have always been, forever yours.

Remember me

To the living I am gone, To the sorrowful I will never return, To the angry I was cheated, But to the happy, I am at peace, And to the faithful, I have never left.

I cannot be seen, but I can be heard so as you stand upon a shore, gazing at a beautiful sea, remember me

As you look in awe at a mighty forest and its grand majesty remember me. As you look upon a flower and admire its simplicity remember me. Remember me in your heart, your thoughts and your memories  to the times we loved, the times we cried, the times we fought, the times we laughed.

For if you always think of me, I have never gone.

(Max Ehrmann)

Woodland Burial

Don’t lay me in some gloomy churchyard shaded by a wall, Where the dust of ancient bones has spread a dryness over all, Lay me in some leafy loam where, sheltered from the cold little seeds investigate and tender leaves unfold. There kindly and affectionately, plant a native tree to grow resplendent before God and hold some part of me. The roots will not disturb me as they wend their peaceful way to build the fine and bountiful, from closure and decay. To seek their small requirements so that when their work is done

I’ll be tall and standing strongly in the beauty of the sun.

The song is ended but the melody lingers on. (Lyrics by Irving Berlin)

Memory is a loving thing, It lasts the longest, It can never be spent, Never be lent, Never be taken away.

Do not stand at my grave & weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep,  I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am the 1000 winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sun on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the mornings hush, I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled light. I am the soft star that shines at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry.

I am not there I did not die.

A little brighter

Did the sun shine a little brighter, Was the sky a deeper blue,

Or was it just a better world when we shared our lives with you.

Miss Me but let me go

When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room why cry for a soul set free!

Miss me a little - but not too long and not with your head bowed low remember the love that we once shared miss me - but let me go

For this is a journey we all must take and each must go alone, It's all a part of the Master's plan a step on the road to home

When you are lonely and sick of heart go to the friends we know and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds

miss me - but let me go.

You Can Shed Tears

You can shed tears that she has gone

or you can smile because she has lived

You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back

or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left.

Your heart can be empty because you cannot see her

or you can be full of the love she shared

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday

or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that she has gone or you can cherish his memory and let it live on

You can cry and close your minds be empty and turn your back

or you could do what she would want, smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

The Rose Beyond The Wall

A rose once grew where all could see, sheltered beside a garden wall,

And, as the days passed swiftly by, it spread its branches, straight and tall....

One day, a beam of light shone through a crevice that had opened wide ~

The rose bent gently toward its warmth then passed beyond to the other side...

Now, you who deeply feel its loss, be comforted ~ the rose blooms there ~

Its beauty even greater now, nurtured by other's loving care

Thinking of you

I’m thinking of you but that is nothing new.

I thought about you yesterday, and the day before that too.

I will think about you tomorrow, and as the years come and go.

I will think about you forever.

After Glow

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one, I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.

I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways of happy times and laughing and bright and sunny days.  I’d like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun,  of happy memories that I leave when my life is done. (Anon)

God only takes the best

God saw you were getting tired and it was not meant to be,

So he put his arms around you and whispered,’ come to me''.

With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away,

Although we loved you dearly we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating hard working hands at rest

God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best.

Remember me when I am gone away,

Gone far away into the silent land: When you can no more hold me by the hand,

Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay. Remember me when no more day by day.

You tell me of our future that you planned: Only remember me; you understand

It will be late to counsel then or pray.

Yet if you should forget me for a while, And afterwards remember, do not grieve: For if the darkness and corruption leave

A vestige of the thoughts that once I had, Better by far you should forget and smile, Than that you should remember and be sad

I’m Free

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free, I’m following the path God made for me.

I took His hand, I heard Him call. Then turned and bid farewell to all.

I couldn’t stay another day, To laugh, to love, to sing, to play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found my peace at close of the day.

And if my parting left a void. Then fill it with remembered joy.

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss. Ah, yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened, deep with sorrow. I wish you sunshine of tomorrow.

My life’s been full… I’ve savoured much, Good friends, good times… A loved one’s touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief. Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.

Lift up your heart and share with me, God wants me now, He’s set me free.

God’s Garden

God looked around his garden and found an empty place,

He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face.

He put his arms around you And lifted you to rest.

God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best.

He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb.

So he closed your weary eyelids and whispered, 'Peace be Thine'.

It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone,

For part of us went with you the day God called you home.

Military Blessing

In the rising of the sun, and in it's going down, we remember him.

In the blowing of the wind, and in the chill of winter, we remember him

In the opening of the buds, and in the warmth of summer, we remember him.

In the rustling of the leaves, and in the beauty of the autumn, we remember him.

In the beginning of the year, and when it ends, we remember him.

Bilbo's Final Song

Day is ended, dim my eyes,  but a journey long before me lies.

Farewell, friends! I hear the call, see the ship beside the stony wall.

Foam is white and waves are grey; beyond the sunset leads my way.

Foam is salt, the wind is free; I hear the rising of the Sea.

Farewell, friends! The sails are set, the wind is east, the moorings fret.

Shadows long before me lie, beneath the ever-bending sky,

but islands lie behind the Sun that I shall raise ere all is done;

lands there are to west of West, where night is quiet and sleep is rest.

Guided by the Brightest Star, beyond the utmost harbour-bar,

I'll find the havens fair and free, and rest peacefully in the Starlit Sea.

I shall not really die

I do not think my song will end, while flowers grass and trees,

abound with birds and butterflies for I am at one with these.

And do not think that I am gone for every time you hear,

a dog barking in the breeze, you will find my memory there.

And do not think that I am alone, for in the stars above,

I am laughing and smiling with all of those I love.

So long as love and hope and dreams abide in earth and sky,

weep for me though I be gone, I shall not really die.

Ship ( Bishop Brent)

I am standing upon that shore, a ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength and I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and the sky come down to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says “there, She’s gone” “Gone where” “Gone from my sight, that’s all”. She is just as large in mast and spar and hull as ever she was when she left my side; just as able to bear her load of living freight to the place of her destination. Her diminished size is in me, not in her, it is in me. She is gone from my sight but there are other eyes watching her coming and other voices ready to take up the glad shout. “Here she comes”.

If you are saying goodbye to a baby or child you may find that you wish to include one of the poems below:

Butterfly Reading

A butterfly lights beside us, like a sunbeam, and for a brief moment It’s glory and beauty belong to our world. But then it flies on again and though we wish it could have stayed, we are so thankful that we were touched by it’s beauty.

An American Indian Legend for a Butterfly Release :

If anyone desires a wish to come true they must first capture a butterfly and whisper that wish to it.

As a butterfly can make no sound, the butterfly can not reveal the wish to anyone but the great spirit Who hears and sees all. In gratitude for giving the beautiful butterfly its freedom, the wish will be taken to the heavens to be granted.

Too beautiful for earth

An angel wrote in the book of life, My baby’s date of birth, Then whispered as she closed the book,

“Too beautiful for earth”.

Tiny Angel

For a brief and fleeting moment an angel touched the ground,

With tiny wings and halo, and sweet soft angel sounds.

Blessing the lives of others in beauty and in grace

Those who saw the Angel knew God had kissed his tiny face.

The angel came for reasons we may not understand.

A journey brief with gifts so great and guided by Gods hand.

So rest now tiny angel, your work on earth is through.

In the beauty of gods perfect love, we saw his gift in you.

Little Snowdrop

The world may never notice if a snowdrop doesn’t bloom

Or even pause to wonder if the petals fall too soon.

But every life that ever forms, or ever comes to be,

Touches the world in some small way for all eternity.

The little one we longed for was swiftly here and gone

But the love that was then planted is a light that still shines on.

And though our arms are empty our hearts know what to do.

Every beating of our hearts says that we love you.

Little Angel

God sent an angel to the earth… he sweetest angel too.

And for such a tiny little thing he had so much to do.

He knew he did not have much time upon this earth to stay,

so he did not waste a second he got started right away

His eyes were bright and sparkly, he took in every turn

he did not miss a single thing, because this angel came to learn!

But during his time that little angel touched the hearts of those he reached.

He taught them courage, strength and faith because this angel came to teach.

His tiny little body was such a gift from above, you felt it when you held him because this baby came to love.

But when you miss him oh so much and find it hard along the way,

Please understand his work was done, Baby …… could not stay.

‘Even the smallest of feet have the power to leave everlasting footprints upon this world’.

There Is A Special Angel

There is a special Angel in Heaven that is part of me.

It is not where I wanted him but where he had to be.

He was here but just a moment like a night time shooting star.

And though he is in Heaven he isn't very far.

In a baby Castle, just beyond our eyes our baby plays with angel toys that money cannot buy

Who are we, to wish that you had known this world of strife?

Now, play on, our little baby you have eternal life.

Feelings we will treasure, sometimes they will make us sad,

Because our little baby and we’re still you mum and dad.

My Little Angel

You’ve just walked on ahead of me and I’ve got to understand

You must release the ones you love and let go of their hand.

I try and cope the best I can But I’m missing you so much

If I could only see you and once more feel your touch.

Yes, you’ve just walked on ahead of me don’t worry I’ll be fine

But now and then I swear I feel your hand slip into mine.
