Renewal of vows
A renewal of vows is a special way to celebrate a marriage. It is a chance for couples to remember and express all the reasons they chose to get married and to share their lives with one another, remembering the life they have shared and looking forward to the future.
You may be renewing your vows as a way to mark a special anniversary or it may be you never had the chance to have the wedding you dreamed of and this is your chance to share your love and commitment to one another with your family and friends. You may wish to reaffirm your commitment or mark a new time in your life together if you have been through an important time in your lives together, or you may just want to celebrate the life and love you have shared, looking towards everything that is still to come.
If you wish you can repeat the same vows and promises you made to each other when you got married or you may decide you want to make new vows and promises. You can include a ring exchange in your special day using the rings you gave to one another or new rings that mark your renewal of vows as a special point in your marriage, however you can also choose to have your wedding rings blessed instead of a ring exchange.
Your ceremony can be held in any location indoors or outdoors, in a manor, house, venue or even a field under the stars , while there are special moments you may like to include in your Renewal of Vows such as a sand ceremony or candle lighting ceremony. You may wish to include children or grandchildren in your ceremony celebrating not only your love as a couple but also how your life and love has grown to include your family. You may wish to have your ceremony as part of a bigger occasion such as an anniversary party, or may be after a very simple ceremony focused on the renewal of vows and promises you are sharing with each other.
I would discuss how you envisage your perfect day with you so that together we can create a Ceremony that reflects your love and your life together.
'Your Ceremony, Your Way'
Wedding Ceremony - ”We just wanted to say thank you so much for all your hard work leading up to the ceremony! It was wonderful to have you there with us on the day and thought you did a fantastic job. You kept us calm and gave us a chance to build a ceremony which was uniquely ours. We could not have asked for anything better. “
Handfasting Ceremony - “We just want to say a massive thank you for the ceremony and for all your support on the run up to it. All of our guests commented on what a lovely ceremony it was and that it was just perfect for us. You made it a day to remember for us, so thank you! Many thanks Zoe and Dan”.
